JOB ROLE: Our EMEA partners are responsible for over 65% of the EMEA revenue and with an increasing focus on driving business through our partner community this is a key role for the business. This role will be the figure head for the EMEA Marketing team for all marketing related aspects to our Distribution and Tier 2 Reseller business in EMEA. The role will need to be the Distribution expert within the EMEA Marketing team as It will play a key role in ensuring Hitachi’s solutions meet their aggressive growth targets for Distribution and will work with key partners like Tech Data and Arrow. The role will be responsible for the development and execution of the overall Distribution Marketing Plan for EMEA, working in close collaboration with the EMEA Distribution and Partner Sales teams, the EMEA Marketing team as well as the Global Partner Enablement teams. This role will need to build up marketing relationships with Tech Data and Arrow in particular and will be responsible for communications into these partners as well as the marketing planning and execution of programs for key in-direct solution areas on a quarterly basis. JOB FUNCTIONS: Work with the EMEA Marketing and the EMEA Partner Sales teams to define how Marketing can support the sales growth plan in relation to Distribution solutions that Hitachi Vantara offer, and define marketing objectives accordingly. Build, maintain and nurture relationships with Tech Data and Arrow. Align with the EMEA Distribution GTM model, understand it and develop a marketing plan to support the growth objectives for the business. Manage the MDF claim process for key distribution partners through to Hitachi Vantara and ensure MDF is invested in a consistent manner against core programs on a quarterly basis which are either, Global in nature or those which are developed in EMEA by the Partner Sales or Marketing teams. Identify and develop co-marketing opportunities and work with CMT Partner Sales and Marketing teams to develop and drive demand generation activities in the region and CMTs. Maintain program effectiveness by measuring ROI on all investments using Salesforce.com and documenting and conducting post analysis/evaluation on all campaigns using the ROI/Metrics tool as standard. Accountability for KPIs and reporting on results against targets; Act as the central point of contact for all aspects related to Distribution Marketing activities in EMEA and become the subject matter marketing expert for this part of the Hitachi Vantara business. Own and define the EMEA Arrow and Tech Data Marketing Plan in partnership with EMEA Partner Sales and the Marketing leadership teams. Build a quarterly plan and update it on a monthly basis. Ensure proper communication of annual and quarterly distribution marketing priorities. Responsible for marketing communications to the EMEA distribution community and internal stakeholders. Communicate partner related campaign and program status, action items, results, and deliverables across marketing and sales Share best practices from pan-EMEA distributors and across the longtail of EMEA VADs Manage the Hitachi Vantara Partner Marketing Hub for preferred partners through Tech Data and Arrow. Deliver Geo based partner related events and conferences in EMEA. Increase the traction of Partner Engagement in core event platforms including but not limited to NEXT & VMworld. Work with the Country Marketing Managers and the EMEA PR team to identify appropriate press opportunities to increase awareness of the Hitachi Vantara distribution business in EMEA. Work with the Global Programs team to ensure all the Global Demand Generation Programs include tools, materials and messaging are relevant to our Distribution and Tier 2 partners. Work with the Country Marketing Managers to ensure that Distribution/Tier 2 partner activities are listed in SFDC with lead follow-up against them so we can measure pipeline and revenue impact. Establish a network of contacts within this business who are relevant to Hitachi Vantara. Work with the Global Customer Advocacy team to co-ordinate joint customer references when relevant.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: As part of the EMEA Marketing team, this role is ideal for someone who has proven experience in Distribution Marketing roles and who wants to develop her/his career further in a fast growing multi-national company. The role would suit someone who is self-motivated and focused with entrepreneurial attitude. Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of marketing experience with at least 3 years of experience supporting a complex B2B technology sales. This role is ideal for someone who has proven experience in Senior Marketing roles and who wants to develop her/his career in a fast-growing multi-national company. Proven record of implementing and executing strategic marketing plans, account-based marketing plans, and industry-specific marketing plans. Proven track record of successfully partnering with senior seasoned sales leaders. Experience with developing integrated, multi-touch partner marketing plans including demand gen and communications. Critical-thinker and expert problem-solving skills and ability to methodically understand and resolve complex issues. Good understanding of the partner landscape in EMEA. Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously under pressure with tight deadlines. Self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, multi-tasker, creative and analytical. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. SKILLS: Well organised, motivated to drive change, ability to multi-task, good communicator and up for a challenge. S/he will work in a fast moving, fun environment so s/he’ll need lots of energy. Proven marketing experience across international boundaries is preferable. Strong academic background (University) in Marketing or business related degree. Ability to work effectively across x-functional and international groups. Strong language skills, with both written and spoken English essential. Well organised, adaptable and a clear thinker Self-driven and a quick learner. Proven experience of being innovative, creative and ability to use own initiative. Strong negotiation and budget/financial management skills. A personality to foster good relationships with key stakeholders. Understanding of and ability to articulate technology solution messages. PC literate; Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word and SFDC.
