Digital Communications Manager
We are currently looking for a Digital Communications Manager to join our Advancement department. This is a full-time, permanent position based on our Fontainebleau campus.
The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for Advancement's overall digital strategy, developing and delivering content to meet the department's alumni engagement and fundraising objectives. The manager is responsible for contributing to our digital content marketing strategy and demonstrating social media, website management and analytics skills. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative academic environment.
The main tasks will include:
Responsible for managing digital communications initiatives (content, design) that support the Advancement department, with a primary focus on social media, websites and multimedia.
Manage and grow INSEAD Alumni social media channels, including Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Develop social media strategies in line with the Advancement department priorities, the editorial strategy, and in coordination with Institutional Communications. Write and edit social media posts (roughly 10 to 15 posts per week) with a mix of cold and hot news. This includes coverage of events (Giving Day, Global INSEAD Day, Alumni Forum, Reunions, Webinars, etc.), articles on research, faculty, scholarship recipients, campuses etc.
Create digital content (photos, videos, infographics, banners) to support social media posts.
Create digital toolkits and shareable content for alumni, donors, volunteers and staff to take part in a campaign (e.g. Giving Day) or promote events (e.g. Alumni Forum).
Develop and nurture a pool of digital ambassadors to help with fundraising and alumni engagement (particularly for Giving Day).
Maintain and update the alumni section of the website (insead.edu).
Monitor and evaluate web and social media statistics on a monthly basis and provide reports and recommendations.
Benchmark and monitor other business schools' social media accounts and websites to identify best practices and emerging technologies. Contribute to video shooting and production (interviews, highlights) and photoshoots.
Manage the image bank.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Master’s degree in marketing or communications
A minimum of 5 years experience in digital, mobile, and social media content development and management.
Excellent communication skills on social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube and WhatsApp.
Thorough knowledge of relevant software platforms, including Microsoft platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Analytics, and SEO best practices. Experience with Canva and/or Illustrator preferred.
Experience working with content management systems.
Fluency in data reporting, interpretation, and forecasting using website and social media analytics.
Dynamic, self-motivated, creative communications professional and collaborator with excellent digital and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent command of the English language (both spoken and written). Copywriting with clarity, brevity and creativity.
Excellent attention to detail and resourcefulness, proven flexibility, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Works well autonomously and as a collaborative team member across the department.
Comfortable managing numerous projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Must be highly motivated and aligned with the mission and values of INSEAD.
Willingness to travel.
