Summary / purpose of the position


The global Communications, External Affairs and Sustainability team exists to lead and drive excellence in communications, public affairs, and patient advocacy within Ipsen, which together, build and protect the Ipsen brand and deliver the Group strategy to have a positive impact on our employees, patients, and society.


The Global Employee Communications Manager will propose, design, and implement internal communications strategies for priority corporate programs and campaigns to engage and motivate employees through animation of our vision, mission and strategy.  We are looking for a passionate communicator who is creative and enthusiastic with energy and commitment. An excellent writer (in French and English) with outstanding planning and organizing skills.


The primary aim of employee communications is to mobilize employees by inspiring them with confidence in the company and improving motivation, within a highly patient-centric culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate communications, a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, and the ability to create compelling content that resonates with a diverse, international audience.


Main responsibilities / job expectations



Design and roll out appropriate, targeted communications programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of the company as a whole and in line with Ipsen's strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure communication plans support key initiatives and business priorities.
Support the communication aspects of organizational change initiatives, ensuring employees are informed and engaged throughout the process.
Develop targeted channel approach for internal communications – leveraging events, Town Halls, webcasts, internal emails, and intranet content to optimise reach and engagement. Be the owner of the management of the Global intranet (My Ipsen).
Prepare recommendations, planning and roll out of efficient and appropriate internal communications programs, Town Hall events, campaigns, and materials for the target audience. Suggest new, more interactive, and innovative internal communications tools, seeking input through discussion and brainstorming with employees.
Prepare communications materials (articles, statements, Q&As, key talking points/messaging, slides) for executive leaders.
Ongoing engagement with network of communications managers across countries (Comms’Unity) to gather local needs and to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all locations. Facilitate the exchange of best practices and communication resources globally.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for communication initiatives and regularly evaluate and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts.
Use data and feedback to refine communication strategies for continuous improvement

Knowledge, abilities & experience


Education: 


Degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field

Experience:



+5 years required of professional experience in content, marketing, and public relations at either agency or in-house.
Main activities/communication materials: plan and develop Internal Communications strategies/plans, events, intranet management, deployment of digital tools, etc.
Creative ability to design and deliver internal communications content in a simple and engaging way
Strong interpersonal skills and internal stakeholder management
Excellent writing skills (English and French)
Forward-looking, proactive, driven, enthusiastic, independent, agile working.
Good ability to prioritize and excellent organization and planning skills
Experience in a matrix organizational structure and international environment
Ideal: Knowledge of the healthcare environment but not essential


Languages:  Excellent writing/speaking skills (English & French)
