Senior Director, MedTech Supply Chain Digital & Business Transformation (DBT) Change Management & Communications Leader

This position can be based in either Leeds UK, Raritan NJ, Raynham MA, or Jacksonville FL.

The leader will be a part of the MedTech Supply Chain Digital & Business Transformation (DBT) organization and will have responsibility for end to end change management for key strategic initiatives and steady state operations.


The successful candidate must be able to engage and operate with program and operations teams at an execution level, as well as with senior leadership at a strategic level by developing strong business partnerships across key stakeholder groups, including (but not limited to) the Supply Chain, Commercial, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, HR, Legal, Finance, Enterprise Pillars, and interdependent programs and teams.


Major Responsibilities:


·       Change Management – Set the overarching change management strategy for MedTech DBT that is applied to all key strategic initiatives and steady state operations. Maintain a leading perspective on change management, including gathering external thought leadership and building internal relationships with other enterprise change leaders. Define key measures and metrics that will be used to assess what successful change management looks like for MedTech DBT and continuously refine change management strategy over time to drive adoption and impact of key initiatives. Establish and maintain a consolidated view of the change landscape across the MedTech organization and more broadly across J&J.


·       Global Program Management – Be a part of the overall MT DBT organization, working closely with key stakeholders across the organization to successfully deliver key strategic initiatives in support of the MedTech DBT vision. Serve as the key point of intake for new change management and communications initiatives, assessing and prioritizing them, as needed.  Provide oversight to change management resources assigned to key initiatives and ensure work delivery aligns with overall change and communications strategy set for the MedTech DBT organization.


·       Stakeholder Management – Develop a robust understanding of the MedTech stakeholder landscape. Ensure a global stakeholder engagement approach is established that effectively identifies, engages, and aligns the stakeholder communities across various key discussions and decisions. Drive senior-level stakeholder alignment and engagement in support of the MedTech DBT agenda and specific key initiatives, as required.  


·       Communications – Develop an effective communications strategy and plan to drive awareness and understanding of key initiatives across the MedTech organization and more broadly across J&J. Oversee the development and implementation of a broad range of communication deliverables leveraging multiple channels to enhance the employee experience. Communications should provide proactive, concise, and pertinent information to key stakeholders and impacted users as they relate to business transformations, capability roadmaps, program awareness, our narrative and execution status.  On an on-going basis, gauge the organizational “pulse” through various means (i.e., dialogue, surveys, etc) in order to better understand external perspectives and opportunities.   


·       Business Operating Model Rollout – Partner across organization to manage the change journey for future state business operating model deployments, ensuring alignment with MedTech Strategy and other key business strategies while driving the execution in partnership with business owners to ensure end state model & capabilities supports strategic business needs & operations.

·       Business Resource Management & External Partners - Ensure appropriate subject matter experts are engaged and dedicated to the initiative as needed. Partner closely with process leads and business leaders to identify required resources and de-prioritize conflicts where they arise. Manage the relationship with selected external partners and SMEs.


Qualifications


Experience:


·       Minimum of bachelor’s degree required ; advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable.


·       Bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree, such as an MBA, is preferred.


·       Requires a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Supply Chain, Commercial or large transformation or change programs.


·       Requires a minimum of 5 years of complex global Program Management leadership experience.


·       Requires proven experience leading people centric change management/culture initiatives.


·       A minimum of 5 years of experience with people management/direct report experience is required.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 


Thorough understanding of change management strategic planning processes, delivery methodologies, and tools.

·       Strong experience in performing business readiness activities, including stakeholder engagement, leadership action planning, and communication planning and delivery.


·       Excellent at building strong relationships with peers and with other stakeholders to influence others and move toward a common vision is required.


·       Experience in resource management in accordance with project design and needs.


·       Requires strong knowledge of MedTech Devices, Supply Chain or Commercial Operations.


·       Demonstrated hands-on project management/change management experience required.


·       Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., FPX, Change Management) is helpful.


·       Strong customer focus (internal & external) and experience managing professionals from multiple disciplines is preferred.


·       Demonstrated experience and ability to collaborate effectively in managing large-scale projects in a matrix format.


·       Ability to work autonomously in scenarios with some ambiguity & handle multiple tasks is required.


·       Proven ability to collaborate across franchises, business sectors, and disciplines.


·       Ability to work effectively and drive alignment in a global environment through strong communication and empowerment, in a fast paced, dynamic environment.


·       Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross functional teams, without authority, to drive outcomes.


·       Strategic leadership in organizational change/business transformation programs and experience building new/enhancing existing capabilities.


·       This position will require up to 25% travel.
