Position Description


The role


As the lead Marketing representative for France and Belgium, the country marketing manager will be responsible to develop, implement marketing strategies, plan and implement tactical activities for the France and Belgium markets.


In this role, the Country Marketing Manager France and Belgium will act as Strategic Partner to the Country Heads and will overlook the whole QIAGEN MDx portfolio to focus on driving country tactical activities to deliver growth through local demand, with strong and impactful local execution.


This position reports to the head of country marketing Europe as part of the EU & GEM Regional Marketing organization, and works fully transversally with local sales organization.


Working in close collaboration with the regional marketing, regional sales, local sales, local RA and global functions, the key responsibilities of this role include:



Support achievement of overall revenue and marketing goals
Act as primary marketing interface with local commercial team and interacts with various clinical customer types, partners and influencers
Ensures the monitoring of industry, competitive and regulatory landscape, provide local market expertise to the QIAGEN team
Develop, advocate, communicate and implement marketing strategies for key target markets in France and Belgium, focused on pillars of growth.
Develop and take full ownership of the marketing part of the annual business plan including budgeting and forecasting process
Lead the implementation of country-specific marketing projects to accelerate acceptance of QIAGEN products in particular areas
Plan and execute campaign local marketing & communication plan: coordination of local events, local press releases and communications, animate Social media channels, produce campaigns & materials in local language
Ensure excellence in SFDC for all marketing related activities and metrics. Be the country queues & Sales Prospect funnel owner.
Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders
Support major launches locally
Implement cross-portfolio marketing actions
Spend adequate time in the field to support the sales team & drive local initiative
Report activities to the commercial operations at regular intervals

Position Requirements



Education: University Degree in marketing, business or similar. Degree in Science with significant experience in Marketing will be considered. At least 5 years of experience working in IVD and/or Molecular Diagnostic space is desirable. Equivalent sales experience can be considered.
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing tactics and practices including digital marketing activities.
Native French and fluency in English required, both written and spoken.
Field activity ~40%
Location : Home based or office based in Courtaboeuf, Paris area.

Personal Requirements



Very good communication and presentation skills.
Native French speaker is mandatory. Excellent written and verbal English.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, enthusiastic and self-motivated with a strong business focus.
Ability to work both independently and in a structured working environment, and to collaborate within a complex, matrixed organizational structure
High level of organizational skills, strong team orientation with problem-solving skills.
