YOUR FUTURE ROLE      Marketing Strategy Senior Specialist


This role is part of the RISE CMSO organization.

The Solution Marketing function defines the marketing objectives and corresponding investment needs for SAP’s solution portfolio, as manifested in the end-to-end Marketing Plan, supporting the growth ambitions of the Winning Plan. Solution Marketing defines and delivers the solution area messaging and positioning aligned with the target audience(s), determines the solution area priorities for demand generation activities and delivers key marketing assets to support the end-to-end customer journey. This involves continuous collaboration with the Global Demand Center and Field Marketing to achieve pipeline targets. A close partnership with Solution Management is required to develop the solution’s value proposition, particularly aligning on growth ambitions, market insights, GTM and commercialization to inform the marketing strategy and its execution. In this partnership, Solution Marketing owns the narrative around the value proposition for all marketing and demand generation purposes, including the creation and delivery of marketing assets and messaging, with Solution Management contributing to the strategic direction and acting as key source of expertise. Solution Marketing owns and manages customer-facing marketing assets and solution enablement delivery for (pre-)sales and partners in close partnership with SAP Learning team. Solution Marketing supports solution evangelism and engagement by serving as the Solution SME responsible for driving thought leadership and supporting AR and PR plans in alignment with marketing objectives and plans.


In this role your key focus area’s will be:


Subject Matter Expert in the (Sub)Solution Area market and Marketing Strategy, including:



Own and define the solution (area) -specific marketing plan, covering the end-to-end solution marketing strategy and detailed tactics, incl. campaigns, programs, budget, and goals.Lead the Marketing Plan core team orchestration to ensure the execution of this strategic steering framework for demand generation and GTM activities together with Corporate Marketing, Field Marketing, Global Communications, and Operations.
Continually monitor and optimize the marketingplan for your specific area
Align with Solution Management on solution’s growth ambitions, market insights, GTM and commercialization objectives, and drive the execution of launch campaigns, promotions, packaging, and other related marketing activities.
Be the subject matter expert on product/ industry market trends, customer and user preferences, and competitive landscape to determine the best marketing positioning.

Solution Value Proposition, Messaging and Positioning, including:



Partner with Solution Management to develop solution’s value proposition (customer promise and key reasons to believe). Own the narrative of the value proposition for all downstream marketing and demand generation purposes. Define key points of differentiation and develop a meaningful, strong message and related assets around the solutions.
Develop solutions Messaging & Positioning Framework (MPF) to guide all marketing and demand generation activities around the differentiated value proposition. Ensure that product truth is expressed with accuracy to build trust and credibility, and articulate to stakeholders, buyers, and the industry the potential value realized from our solutions.

Solution Marketing Content and Assets, including:



Own the (sub)Solution Area marketing content Bill of Materials (BoM) and create ‘ready-to-use’ thought leadership, demand generation, and website assets for all channels (in-person, digital, & social) with Solution Management as a key source of expertise.Create solution-specific and technical content to support the definition of all solution offerings.
Optimize marketing content and assets to create pipeline and drive collaboration across the entire funnel to align content and campaigns.

Support and Enablement for all customer-facing functions, including:



Create core customer-facing marketing assets for customer success teams and partners (e.g., keynotes & pitch decks), defining the solution focus and aligning technical product capabilities and solution value with customer needs and sales requirements.
Own and manage solution enablement delivery for sales, partners, and customers in close partnership with SAP Learning team. Collaborate with Solution Management to develop key content and assets like sales plays that enable both sales teams and value-add services & support partners to deliver differentiated use cases that beat competitors and drive ACV.
Influence solution & product adoption (Client Success) through programs that drive utilization and promotes upsell- and cross-selling opportunities.

YOUR PROFILE



Bachelor/master degree or similar level due to experience.
5+ years Experience in solution/product marketing role.
5+ years experience in content creation of strategic & customer facing assets.
Strong statistics and data analysis skills .
Extensive knowledge of SAP’s (or other) ERP solutions.
Experience in Industry GTM.
Strong interpersonal skills as a collaborative team player who has worked with diverse teams.
Fluent in English and 1 or 2 additional languages is helpful.

The RISE solution marketing team is responsible for the Global RISE solutions marketing strategy. We own and define the solution specific marketing plans; we continually monitor and optimize the marketing plan. We collaborate closely to our colleagues in solution Management, and we are subject matter experts. We own the narrative of the value proposition for all downstream marketing and demand generation. We develop solution messaging and the positioning framework. We shape the brand strategy and define naming. We take responsibility for the demand generation strategy across digital, in-person, in-product, and the entire customer lifecycle. Customers are at the heart of this. We contribute to the Integrated demand programs to generate engagement with our customers and increase pipe contribution. Partners should be part of this approach. We own the solution Area marketing content BOM and create ready to use thought leadership-, demand generation- and website assets for all channels following the customer journey.
