They are the heart of Equativ’s global awareness and play a major role in orchestrating the global launches of new innovative solutions, communicating Equativ’s value proposition to customer facing teams and ensuring product success. 
Overview
The role of the PR manager EU is a strategic position within Equativ’s Global Marketing Team and reports to the VP, of Marketing & Communications. The PR Manager will leverage their strong industry network to increase awareness of Equativ and its offering while managing our corporate reputation in the media and growth - with a focus on France and the rest of Europe. The PR Manager develops and executes effective news and thought leadership placements in ad tech, advertising, and general business publications.
This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills in French and English with an interest in digital Marketing. The successful candidate will be passionate and experienced with a proven track record of creating and managing the full scope of external media relations activities.


Key day-to-day responsibilities



Strategy
Drive the media relations strategy and build plans to increase brand awareness and drive engagement
Keep abreast of industry trends and proactively find opportunities to leverage industry news events by pushing Equativ executives' POV to key industry journalists
Coordinate thought leadership content development and calendar with senior executives and key stakeholders at Equativ
Evaluate and manage PR opportunities with partner companies
Engage with regional stakeholders to distribute global content and assist in localizing messaging
Maintain PR /editorial calendar and also share with regional stakeholders periodically to align on planning
PR Management
Create and execute the French and Europe PR plan and manage PR campaigns on topics core to the company’s needs and values. This includes: developing and implementing PR tools (press release writing, create press kit), managing relationships with journalists, PR agencies and Equativ’s Country Managers and local marketing coordinators
Participate as needed with the VP, Marketing & Communications on the day-to-day relationships and activities with Equativ’s external PR agencies and consultants. Join weekly PR planning meetings with external PR agencies and inform team on PR activities
Become the point of contact and information relay for all corporate PR topics, answer press requests (product news-related, top management interviews) and build strong relationships with key media, bloggers, and influencers
Coordinate PR opportunities, talking points, and background briefings for Equativ’s senior executives and subject matter experts
Leverage “newsjacking” opportunities by developing quotes and background comments with Equativ’s execs to share proactively with journalists
Collaborate with the Global Marketing team on press releases - coordination releases and ensure any press news is aligned with other marketing activities to maximize cross-channel campaigns
Collaborate with the Events team to leverage events for PR and thought leadership opportunities
Maintain press area on Equativ’s  website (media kit, latest press releases, and published articles
Contribute periodic blog posts on industry topics
Setting KPIs and Ongoing Measurement
Monitor PR placements, and score results:
Track and report on monthly and quarterly PR metrics
Analyze the results to make recommendations for enhancing effectiveness
Manage all PR activities via a coordinated calendar - working with Global Marketing teams to integrate status across planning tools



Who you are



5 - 7 years experience in external communications & PR with successful outcomes
Demonstrable expertise in media relations strategy and execution
Evidence of strategic thinking and ability to develop innovative approaches to PR
Able to work as part of a team and also work independently
Excellent collaborative skills, with proven ability to build strong relationships with external partners, internal stakeholders and subject matter experts
Excellent evidence of strong written and verbal communication in English
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
An understanding of and interest in digital technology.  Experience and knowledge of ad tech is a big plus
Existing relationships with media, advertising and ad tech journalists in France
Languages: French and English
