Project Services Manager

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION

The Project Services Manager is an operational role, embedded in the PMT, responsible for leading and managing the effective deployment of Project Controls and Contract Management systems and culture.


 Expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within the project and ensure familiarity with and adherence to HSEQ codes and practices.


Also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within the project.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Take an active role as a key member of Project team to ensure an injury free workplace on all sites encouraging and supporting leadership safety initiatives.
Ensure proper and consistent administration of the project main contract as well as of the key suppliers’ subcontract.
Ensure the establishing of the cost Control management, Planning management, risk and opportunities management and Documentation management procedures in line with PM7.
Assist the Project Manager in establishing jointly with Company, with Project Team and key suppliers, a Project charter that shall govern the success of the project.
Lead the deployment of the project KPI system including dashboards, process and team culture for effective progress, time & cost performance and management.
Define with the Project Manager, the other Work Packages Managers and Project Functions Managers, as needed, their Schedule Targets as well as detailed Budget.
Ensure real-time monitoring of project progress is in place and any corrective measures are implemented to progress as per the convergence plan established at the start of the project.
Ensure the establishment of robust cost control process and the accountability of the budget owners.
Ensure Contract changes impact on costs, work schedule is tracked.
Propose and agree with the Project Manager reallocation of budget across the various Disciplines as needed to suit the best interests of the Project.
Take ownership and manage the Risks and Opportunities process on the project.
Ensure the document controller team provide the adequate reports to support the good progress of engineering as well as final documentation consolidation.
Assist the Project Manager during periodic meetings with COMPANY and internal monthly review meetings.
Contribute to the development of the human resources assigned to the package & participate with Functions Managers in the yearly appraisal of resources.

CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS

Engineering Degree associated with Mechanical, Civil, Offshore or Marine disciplines.
Experience in management.
Ability to work with clients, suppliers and partner to understand client project performance requirements and to co-ordinate internal resources to meet them
Understanding of Subsea 7 installation environment and the needs of the various disciplines supporting the project
Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry
Fluent in English Language

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Project Services Manager will be expected to carry out the work under the following conditions:



Work will be based in the Subsea 7 Paris office with possible mission in other Subsea 7 offices (Lisbon and/or AMEC countries) where the project takes place or where the company is based.
Standard working hours but occasionally will be expected to work extended hours to meet critical deadlines
