Roland Berger is looking for a Chief of Staff/Project Management Officer (PMO) to join one of our industrial (Industrials, Regulated & Infrastructure, Health & Consumer, Services) or functional (Investor Support, Digital, Operations) platforms based in one of our offices in Germany. You will manage the operational day-to-day activities of one of our global consulting units acting as the right hand to the platform’s leadership. In your role, you will support driving and implementing strategic initiatives in close cooperation with the management. You will also act as a linking pin to our corporate functions as well as to other platforms to foster collaboration and exchange best practices. From day one, you are considered an entrepreneur in our company. We encourage you to show initiative, think creatively, and take responsibility.


Key responsibilities



Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution (product and business development, people development, marketing, budgeting etc.)
Drive and follow up on actions planned, keeping track of timelines, deliverables and quality standards
Assist the management team to determine and prioritize business strategies based on their schedule
Prepare management meetings, quarterly reviews and support budgeting processes
Ensure cross-functional collaboration and sharing of best practices
Prepare and manage all-hand meetings and both internal and external communication
Act as a "sounding board" for strategic and operational issues

Qualifications


Soft skills



Strong professional communication skills, able to approach stakeholders across all levels and functions using appropriate level of detail, terminology, and working style
Strong project management and organizing skills, ability to see the "big picture"
Proactive with can-do-attitude as well as customer service ethos  
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced international environment

Hard skills



Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Social Sciences or similar field
A minimum of 4+ years' experience performing project management, PMO role, corporate or business development in a corporate environment, consulting, or leading start-up position preferred
Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge in analytics tools like Power BI or Monday is an advantage; experience in SCRUM methods is an additional plus
Experience in creating management presentations
Fluent in English and German
