Your Role


The Director, Program Management Office (PMO) will provide direction at the Global Leadership Team level to ensure the appropriate planning and management of the Fragrances division and advise business leadership and executives on the project portfolio, status, and resource planning. Besides, the PMO Director will be responsible for the efficient implementation of the transformation program in the division and ensure adequate resource allocation and prioritization with other strategic initiatives to accelerate project delivery. 


As a sparring partner to the Global Fragrance President, you will plan, facilitate, and ensure the successful management of strategic projects and business solutions of the division and its business units (Fine Fragrance, Consumer Fragrance/Oral Care), leveraging the complete resources of the Fragrance business intelligence. Furthermore, you will act as key liaison with other functions to facilitate collaboration and lead the change management for business transformations. 


Business Strategy 



Perform evaluations of business opportunities and support divisional strategy development through analysis of financials, markets, and technologies 
Oversee resource allocation to avoid over-allocation of resources and initiate problem resolution processes, as applicable  
Identify, secure, and coordinate the implementation of internal and external resources, technologies, and expertise 
Define and monitor KPIs to follow-up performance / progress of defined strategic initiatives
Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends 

Program Management Office



Ensure all projects are progressing according to timelines, targets, and expectations 
Manage the stage and gate process for new project approvals 
Identify opportunities to modify project scoping to maximize potential benefit and lessons learned
Coach and manage business unit project management officers in the deployment of PMO governance standards, processes, and tools; apply “coach-the-coach” principles for project meeting preparation and facilitation 
Initiate and implement new methodologies to support the organizations long-term strategic goals; develop and communicate project management best practices 
Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing established methods and efficient procedures in the division to foster good business practice
Support the divisional Controlling department in leading the Business Analyst community 

About You



Degree in economics, business administration or another relevant discipline 
Combination of operational and consulting experience, ideally in a Top tier consulting company, in driving strategy and M&A projects in international environment
Track record of leading key strategic and/or transformational projects 
Extensive project delivery experience at project and/or program level is a prerequisite; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred 
Practical experience generating presentations, process documentation and reports 
Strong analytical skills and ability to condense and communicate key financial information 
Advanced leadership and influencing skills within a multinational matrix environment 
Strong communication and stakeholder management across all levels of the organization 
Coaching and mentoring experience to improve individual effectiveness and accountability of project team members 
Proven ability to challenge the status quo; proactive, pragmatic, and solution oriented 
Demonstrated business and financial acumen 
Professional proficiency in English, both verbal and written; conversational French or German language skills are beneficial
