As a member of the AKQA Creative department you will influence changes in consumer behaviour through ideas, creativity and brand design. You will make a difference to visual communications, brand design, advertising and inspire the best global brands. You will bring exceptional design thought to AKQA, delivering projects from brief to consumer in partnership with the Client, Strategy and Technology teams.

This role is located in Lyon, France

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Assist the creative lead in the vision for and delivery of award-winning work for the client, influencing change through ideas, creativity and the use of interactive media.
Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers, and the larger project team to explore concepts and iterate on design layouts
Maintain and evolve the design system, ensuring a consistent visual language across digital touchpoints that stays ahead of industry trends and elevates the client’s brand.
Create original designs with a focus on responsive web design that align to project goals, creative direction, fluid templates, and standards
Prepare for creative reviews by outputting optimized files and presentation materials
Present persuasively and clearly articulate design rationale for project creative solutions
Consult with technical disciplines to ensure designs work within given limitations, and files are prepared with all necessary information to support the design intent
Review final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, and typography are flawless
Contribute actively to briefs, listening and responding
Provide motion and graphic design for a wide range of visual communication
High level internal and external client and team satisfaction
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Consistently deliver a number of successful solutions and high-quality work to clients on time.
Learn new skills and stay abreast of technical and digital design developments and successfully apply these to work practices to help improve processes and procedures.
Execute world-class innovative and effective digital communications, interface design and interaction design experiences across all digital platforms.
Responsible for asset management, collation and archiving.
Comfortable presenting ideas and creative to client and peers.

QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Proficient in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, hierarchy, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity
Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace and to deliver quality design at a high volume in a tight timeframe. Diligent, flexible, resourceful, independent with a strong work ethic
Figma / Sketch / Pricinple / Adobe suite expertise, including intelligently organizing files for design iteration and web production
Ability to articulate ideas and be clearly understood by creative, project management, and development staff, both in verbal and in written format
Ability to create simple prototypes that convey preferred states, motion, and behaviors for interactive concepts
An understanding of front-end web and mobile development, including HTML, CSS, iOS, and other technologies
Experience supporting the design of story-driven campaigns across a multitude of medias while elevating the brand
Ability to distill complex asks into clear, elegant, and focused messaging
Prepare for creative reviews by outputting optimised files and presentation materials
Be accountable for the project deliverables and manage the quality of all design deliverables to ensure they meet AKQA standards for creative excellence
Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace and to deliver quality design at a high volume in a tight timeframe. Diligent, flexible, resourceful, independent with a strong work ethic
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in design for web, mobile, apps
