About the role

To help fulfill our ambitions, Sport Heroes is recruiting a new Head of UX Design to take part in moving the business to the next level ! The Head of UX Design will BE responsible for product design across all products and play key role in helping us reach our vision.

At SportHeroes, The UX team includes design & writing, & works closely with our Product, User Research & Tech Teams to ensure the consistency of the User Experience all along our users journey. Our clients expect us to BE experts in wellness & sports, & that needs to BE reflected in every pixel !

A central point of expertise, the Head of UX Design will oversee all design projects, continue to grow our design culture, and refine the vision for Sport Heroes' products. He/She will BE responsible for ensuring a consistent and effective user experience, thinking about the customer's journey over time as they interact with the product and the company. He/She will lead the design team but also take a strong hands-on design role.

Together with the Heads of Product, Research, & Analytics, the Head of Design will need to create buy-in and recognition across the business, empower internal teams to BE more customer-centric, and clearly communicate the message, vision & strategy of UX and product design.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks
- Define and drive the product design strategy that integrates with the broader product strategy.
- Take a hands-on lead of UX/product design, partnering closely with research, product, tech and business teams to define problems and goals, research requirements, map user flows, prototype and launch new products.
- Continue the development and maintenance of a new design system.
- Co-lead our qualitative user research program, actively recruiting and talking to our customers throughout the world to optimize product experience and design.
- BE actively involved in defining strategy, advocating for user needs, and thinking through design systems, not just screens.
- Design and test multiple ideas quickly to validate product direction.

- Someone with a pedagogical mind, and a passion for teaching her/his knowledge around.
- A Team player with a good sense of humor.
- An enthusiast who will spread good vibes across the office.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands on UX/product design and experience (web and mobile).
- Experience developing wireframes and prototypes, testing design ideas with real users to assess value and mitigate risks.
- A deep appreciation of feedback and flexible in delivery while staying aligned to the design vision.
- Experience with design software such as Figma.
- Comfortable presenting to internal teams and to clients.
- Testing experience : working on screeners/discussion guides, gathering insights.
- Strong communication skills that demonstrate ability to articulate ideas and design choices at all levels across the business.
- International design experience a plus, including frequent interaction with international stakeholders.
- Fluent in French and English.

Bonus Skills
- Comfort with / background in graphic design; you may not BE the visual designer, but you should have an opinion and a comfortable level talking about design, you should BE able to pair up with a designer and speak her language.
- CSR / mission-driven company experience of any flavor.
- An interest in wellness, wellbeing, quality of working life, healthy habits is a plus.
