We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented person with strong business acumen and experience in the food and environment industry to join our chemistries and supplies (CSD) business development team. In this role you will report into the Head of Chemistries Business Development and will develop and own the business strategy for your markets. You will work closely with our customers whilst also holding responsibility for business continuity and market growth, ensuring support of both our core business and future business by focusing on developing new opportunities and applications. You will work closely with colleagues across business development, sales, marketing and product management to deliver trusted answers to your customers and to grow the Food and Environmental business in EMEAI at Agilent.

Responsibilities:

Cover chemistries portfolio for the Food/Environment markets in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) across multiple sales channels
Drive and develop the Food/Environment markets by liaising with customers, collaborators, and colleagues
Liaise with colleagues to plan a strategy for success in your focus markets
Nurture and support existing and new Food/Environment customers with their workflows and method development
Support and build customer collaborations
Gather market intelligence to shape understanding of industry requirements
Be a source of knowledge for customers and the market
Be the key Agilent CSD touchpoint for Food/Environment in EMEAI
Promote new products and solutions, and support marketing activities
Ensure buy-in and roll-out from all sales channels, tailoring support and resources to their needs

Qualifications

University Bachelor’s Degree minimum in chemistry, biochemistry, or related area of life science, MSc / PhD preferred
At least 4+ years relevant experience
Strong technical knowledge and experience in analytical techniques used in the Food/Environment markets

Good knowledge of liquid chromatography and gas chromatography (hands-on experience desirable)
Fluent in English, additional European languages an advantage
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
Experience in Sales environment with good business acumen is a plus
Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills
Determined and autonomous individual, comfortable working with a wider team
