Overview of Business Analystrole

Business Analyst’s role is to support Business teams and Business process owners in designing and implementing simple, efficient, and standardized processes.

The Business Analyst is part of the Orga, Process and Data Division.

Job Purpose

Gather & analyze business requirements with GO divisions’ representatives/process owners

Support business in gathering, explaining, documenting, clarifying, and analyzing business needs and requirements supporting their core processes

Participate to work with business to identify functional / technical requirements

Business Process Design

Understanding of business process and organization challenges

Participate to analyze and design business process

Review documented business processes

Business Process Implementation

Participate to implement new business processes or modify existing processes

Participate to monitor and ensure that requirements are met, tested, and implemented

Participate to Identify and resolve gaps between new and existing business processes

The Business Analyst may have to, based on his seniority, handle project management activities including proper customer communication and reporting and lead the effort instead of being only a participant.

 

Qualifications

 

Skills and Leadership Capabilities

Strong prioritization skills & business orientation

Excellent listening and facilitation skills

Excellent communication - ability to address senior audiences and to challenge them

Ability to drive concrete results through influence

Solid analytical skills and problem solving mindset 

Synthesis capacity strongly required to drive and support in depth simplification

Polished written and oral communicator in English

Education & Experience

Project management and facilitation experience

Process certification would be appreciated

Master’s degree in a ranked engineering or commercial school preferably

At least 2-3 years’ experience in Consulting and/or similar role in Corporate
