Our Data Analytics team is very large and now mature, and our business is still growing in complexity. The tool stack is addressing a wide range of use cases, from the self-service data creation to interactive analysis, including also scripting and automation. While maintaining autonomy of data analysts and data users in general, we built a company-wide coordination team that actively manages analytical expertise, defines and enforces usage policies, develops productivity tools and drives alignment across teams.
What will you be doing?
As we deploy new products and change some of the very core concepts in existing ones, data management gets more complex. The data projects are cross-teams (cross-departments even), long term and with multiple impacts. To tackle these additional challenges, you would be in charge of:
Data Change Management
Whether at small scale (local Data Analysts feature requests) or at cross-departement scale (change management for major data project, ex: roll out of new Product Taxonomy), data is regularly evolving in Criteo and, as a consequence, so do the people and tools using it… and, fortunately, we are here to help! You would work here on:
Meeting the stakeholders in the different departments and offices, gathering and understanding their needs and the impacts of a data change Taking part in the preparation and implementation of roll out plans Helping all parties in their operational work to transition during a data change (ex: Product Taxonomy, Client Verticals, etc.)
Data as a Product
Criteo databases and pipelines handle on a daily basis a (*understatement*) massive amount of data. It covers a wide variety of topics, datasets, analysis business cases. Your role involves :
Creating insightful Data Quality and Data Usage analysis Identifying gaps in our datasets and underserved products Helping with the curation of current datasets (ex: duplicates datasets, irrelevant datasets, non-compliant with the business rules datasets, etc.)Data Knowledge within a full-stack Data Analysis team
Help the Data Community in its aim to document what the data actually means and how to use it the most efficiently, especially from a business perspective. You would therefore be:
Communicating and helping spread the news about bad/best practices When needed, delivering short and specific trainings on the project you are part of Working with a talented and versatile team () Contributing to the global knowledge base (and the greater good)What do we expect?
You are 0-2 years’ experience in a BI focused role with technical (Tableau and Vertica ideally) and analytical components (BI consultant, BI analyst, BI developer, Data Engineer, etc.…) You are fluent in English You are passionate about business intelligence, data visualization, and the power of analytics Ideally, you have good technical expertise: SQL, R, Python and other programming languages. Vertica and Tableau knowledge is a big plus. You can demonstrate your end to end problem solving ability You are able to present results to both technical and non-technical audiences You are versatile, self-driven, detail-oriented and hands-on You are a team player, loving to work for the betterment of a community.This is an amazing opportunity to join the world’s leading performance advertising company and be at the center of our strategic business initiatives.
