What are you going to contribute to?

The context: Fusion Invest is Finastra's dedicated asset management solution. Our product enables our clients (insurers, institutional investors, banks, asset managers, etc.) to manage their positions in real time, and to monitor their risks and their performance. Fusion Invest manage the full asset value chain pre-trade and post trade. All the actors: Portfolio Manager, Compliance officer, Controller, Accountant and Reporting analyst can leverage accounting data at any time. As a business analyst intern, you will join the "Product Management" team which is responsible for defining the strategic roadmap for the Fusion Invest product in association with the client teams and the clients themselves, for its implementation, monitoring changes to its ecosystem (regulations, technology and market, interfaces with third-party systems), the test book, internal and external documentation, as well as post-delivery support to the Consultants, Marketing and Sales teams. Due to the central position of the Product team, many opportunities for internal career development are potentially available, particularly positions within client implementation consulting teams, pre-sales, or even within other products teams in the Finastra’s solution portfolio.

The responsibilities:

The objective of this immersive internship is to participate of a strategic development in the accounting field and contribute to the definition and deployment of accelerators for multi-standard implementation (IFRS, USGAAP, FRGAAP) at our clients. More precisely:

Understand Fusion Invest accounting configuration for the various accounting modules offered to portfolio managers and back-office accountants. Propose accounting schema and options for each financial instrument with respect to the different accounting standards in collaboration with the product team, Review with the documentation team the implementation process description and training documentation. Propose product improvements for seamless accounting module implementation and follow up on fixes, new development, and validation of new features in coordination with product, development and quality teams.

Graduated from a master’s degree in accounting or finance from business school or university Knowledge in Financial instrument accounting and interest in Financial Markets and Regulation, as well as Asset Management and Investment Banking. First successful experience in accounting area (school project, previous internships, etc.) Interest in learning how to translate business requirements to functional specifications Excellent analytical skills Problem solving, proactive attitude Good team player Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal (English certificates Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS are a plus)
