What are you going to contribute to?

Context of the internship:
Fusion Invest is Finastra’s solution dedicated to asset management. Our tool allows our customers (Insurers, Institutional investors, banks, asset managers, etc.) to manage their positions in real time, monitor their risks and their performance.
In recent years, data analysis has become more and more important in the asset management industry and is involved in the entire Front to Back value chain of our customers (Portfolio Management, Middle Office, Back Office, Reporting, Data Management).

Our solution Fusion Invest produces a multitude of data and indicators for asset management (performance measurement, risks, accounting, etc.). It becomes interesting to analyze them in order to determine their patterns and trends which can then be used in the investment decision or the operation.

The objective of the internship is to analyze the data in order to determine models that can be used by our customers. This includes the following missions:
Understand the input data coming from Fusion Invest and use our Rest APIs to retrieve the data, especially historical data. Provide an analysis which can be used to develop a tool for controlling and understanding these data. Build use cases with these data. Propose a set of alternative data in the market which can be integrated in our portfolio management solution. Use a BI tool and / or ad hoc developments, build dashboards in order to visualize the data and improve the investment decision by using the latest technologies.

What do we expect from you?

Master or engineering degree in computer science, mathematics with a specialization in data and finance. Analytical, detail-oriented and synthetic skills. Good organizational skills, self-motivated, open-minded and ingenious. First successful experience on a subject related to data (internship, project, …). Interest for quantitative or statistical finance, investment banking, asset management, financial markets. Fluent written and oral English, excellent communication skills, ability to work in an international environment.
