The context

Fusion Sophis is Finastra's dedicated solution for Equity derivatives activity at investment bank s . Our product enables our clients to manage their positions in real time, and to monitor their risks and their performance. As a bu siness analyst intern, you will join the "Product Management" team which is responsible for defining the strategic roadmap for the Fusion Sophis product in association with the client - facing teams and the clients themselves, for its implementation, monitor ing changes to its ecosystem (regulations, technology and market, interfaces with third- party systems), the test book, internal and external documentation, as well as post - delivery support to the Consultants, Marketing and Sales teams. Due to the central p osition of the Product Management team, there are many opportunities for internal career development, particularly positions towards client implementation consulting, or pre - sales, or even towards other products in the Finastra portfolio.

The r esponsibilities

Since the 2008 - 2009 crisis, the regulation of financial markets has increased significantly. This trend is particularly evident in the field of banking sector where it has been an increasing cost for more than 10 years, impacting profitabi lity . Despite an increasingly standardization in all financial markets worldwide, many local specificities continue to exist. For some geographic areas, many regulatory changes are in preparation and may pose challenges for our customers who must adopt the m in the years to come. This includes, but not limited to, regulations for:

• Transition to more robust Interests Rates benchmarks (RFR) ,

• Capital r egulatory requirement s ,

• Sustainable finance ( climatic risk, stress tests) ,

• Payment protocol evolution, Swift ,

• Counter party risk and collateral management, etc.

The objective of the internship is to analyze these specificities, based on reports from various strategic analyst firms, monitoring social networks or specialized information sites, or ta king advantage of the expertise of certain internal or external points of contact at Finastra.

More precisely:

• Produce a state of the art of the latest regulations in some strategic market segments for Finastra,

• Propose an analysis of the gaps with the cur rent capacities of the software,

• Write a set of functional specifications to cover these gaps ,

• Propose a configuration of the application to meet the specificities previously identified,

• Evangelize internal ly the proposed solution to teams.

Understand the specificities of the Equity Derivatives activity of investment banks as well as the lifecycle of financial products, especially on the US mark et, while contributing to the strategic development of the Fusion Sophis product coverage in this market segment.

Work in the product team of a software vendor in close collaboration with the various development teams (R&D), teams of experts in charge of i mplementing the software for our customers (Global Services) and pre - sales teams (Solution Consulting). The required skills, knowledge & experience

• Graduated from a master’s degree in mathematical, computer science, or finance from engineer, business school or university

• Interest in Financial Engineering, Financial Markets and Regulation, as well as Asset Management, Investment Banking

• First successful experience in quantitative and/or qualitative finance area (school project, previous internships, etc.)

• Interested in learning how to translate business requirements to functional specifications

• Excellent analytical skills

• Problem solving, proactive attitude

• Good team player

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal (English certificates Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS are a plus
