Role Summary/Purpose: 

This role is responsible for leading GE Vernova (GEV) Sourcing’s sustainability program in support of and aligned to GEV’s overall Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. This role will execute GEV Sourcing’s sustainability initiatives and projects to include internal and external reporting and benchmarking GEV Sourcing to peers, regulations, and standards. This role serves as GEV Souring’s sustainability and ESG subject matter expert with internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for building internal consensus on the overall sustainability Sourcing strategy. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

Develop and implement GE Vernova’s Sourcing sustainability strategy in support of and aligned to GEV’s overall sustainability and ESG strategy 

Work with GEV ESG, EHS, BU, Compliance, and other functional stakeholders to identify roles and responsibilities, standardize processes and tools, and to drive synergies across GEV Sourcing organization 

Drive standard work related to supplier sustainability requirements to include collaboration with relevant GEV business units 

Develop and integrate relevant environment & decarbonization metrics and targets within the GEV Sourcing framework aligned to the overall GEV sustainability and ESG deliverables 

Support deployment of category and sub-category GEV Sourcing strategies and plans for decarbonization and associated supplier programs in collaboration with commodity leaders and key internal stakeholders 

Engage with GEV suppliers to implement sustainability and ESG strategies to include performance monitoring and continuous improvement 

Serve as GEV Sourcing’s subject-matter-expert for sustainability and ESG 

Lead continuous evolution of necessary tools and policies with focus on decarbonization in the GEV Sourcing process with relevant stakeholders 

Develop and educate internal and external GEV stakeholders on sustainability policies and procedures and how they relate to GEV Sourcing activities 

Research, filter, warehouse, and communicate key emerging information and trends relating to global sourcing sustainability initiatives such as climate change policy, corporate sustainability programs, and other relevant regulatory areas 

Coordinate with GEV Sourcing commodity management teams to ensure consistent supplier sustainability-related topics 

Qualifications/Requirements: 

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in driving sourcing and supply chain sustainability, ESG, and climate change agenda in a global organization 

Experience in project management, sustainability, logistics and supply chain, environmental management, communications in a complex matrix business environment  

Experience in driving transformational change programs and ability to translate strategic insights into tangible and actionable plans 

Desired Characteristics: 

Strong experience in Energy industry related to ESG and Procurement processes, programs, and systems 

Collaborative mindset in working across functional areas 

Strong analytical/problem solving skills 

Experience with data management processes and technology tools/systems 

Sourcing or Analytics experience in a multinational company 

Comfortable with a broad range of research tools and technologies, analytics, and financial analysis 

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 

Strong project management skills 

Thought leader with experience with external benchmarking to drive next level process improvements 

Strong track record for implementing change and delivering results 

If contracted in the US:

The salary pay range for this position is $116,800.00 - $194,000.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 10% annual incentive bonus.
