POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In the context of the replacement of a team member retiring, we are offering a new position in our Product Data Management Department, based in Sarrebourg plant (France), specialized in the Seating manufacturing.
The job consists in creating and maintaining in our ERP (SAP) Master Data such as Articles, Bills of Material, Routings, Configuration Rules within a highly complex data model environment.
To qualify, the individual should have a strong capacity for learning, abstraction, be dedicated and have a focus on data quality.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and other departments to understand the needs related to new product launches, special product creation or run-the-business product and data maintenance and optimization.
Build and maintain a big volume of data within a complex and abstract scope.
Handle bigger initiatives, lead small projects and become accountable for their scope and timing.
Focus on continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
Meets aggressive goals in terms of timing and quality
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Have a good industrial knowledge, understand standard manufacturing processes such as welding, bending, painting, cutting, sewing, assembling…
Proficiency in the use of Excel ( ERP experience would be a plus …)
Ability to analyze, conceptualize, and logically organize database information with a high degree of precision and accuracy.
Ability to work in an autonomous way while aligning with the PDM group / department goals. Share difficulties, alert manager if needed.
Ability to read and understand various technical documentation (such as technical drawings or Engineering documents) and ability to make recommendations of their application as it relates to data and processes.
Ability to connect with a wide variety of internal and external groups, including management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Education: High School diploma.
Meticulous, structured approach
English is a must
Experience in an industrial environment is appreciated
Any “variant configuration” experience would represent an advantage
