Overall Objective
We are looking for an experienced finance professional to help drive the company’s strategic initiatives by partnering directly with the business. A key element of this role is providing decision support on product development projects, strategic priorities, operational issues, as well as run-the-business topics.
This business partner role will be part of a cross functional team and will help the business unit to meet and exceed its overall profitability targets and business objectives by bringing insights from a financial perspective.
The main tasks include:
Provide financial reporting and analysis,
Actively participate in the quarterly forecasting and annual planning,
Support and in some cases, lead strategic projects aimed at achieving the businesses financial plans and business objectives,
Support design and product development teams with financial insights and recommendations,
Interact closely with finance functions in other EMEA locations to drive operational improvements,
Support the finance DTX journey (Tableau, automation etc.) and further improve our current reporting & analytical tools.
Skills/Abilities
Contributions, Achievement and getting things done:
Ability to consolidate complex financial information into relevant analysis and make recommendations to various audiences, including non-finance people,
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally and make appropriate decisions based upon the facts and circumstances,
Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects and activities in a complex business environment,
Ability to navigate in highly complex and sometimes ambiguous situations,
Ability to identify process improvement areas and to independently implement solutions.
Technical Proficiency, Business Knowledge:
Excellent business acumen,
Advanced level of broad analytical skills,
High proficiency in financial and accounting knowledge,
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SAP, Tableau or other data visualization tools.
Previous experience with product development or operational controlling are a plus
Interpersonal, Leadership and Communication Skills:
Ability to lead projects with little supervision.
Ability to provide coaching and support to peers from other finance functions.
Ability to work effectively with senior level executives.
Demonstration of strong presentation skills (orally and in writing) to various audiences and cross functional project teams.
Education/Experience
Bachelor or master’s degree in finance/accountancy or equivalent,
At least 5 years of previous experience, ideally in an international organization,
Fluent in English. French or German is a plus.
