Overall objective
We are looking for an experienced finance professional for our EMEA accounting department.
By working closely with the different finance departments and other functions, you’ll be responsible of coordinating accounting activities for the French perimeter and ensuring the compliance regarding the US GAAP and French GAAP rules.
You will also be involved in more global accounting projects and processes at an EMEA level.
What you will be doing:
Responsible for the French compliance topics (payroll accounting, tax accounting, etc...) and work closely with business partners (plant controller, OPEX controllers, legal and HR teams…)
Coordinate monthly and quarterly closing activities and processes for the French legal entities
Be in charge of the French financial statements and participate to legal documentation preparation
Be in charge of the preparation of the French group tax return and manage Tax audits when occur
Be the contact and support of the French subsidiaries’ accounting teams
Be in charge of some business Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls
Assist auditors for the external audit
Be part of some EMEA projects or initiatives to ensure harmonization between the different EMEA entities and global EMEA compliance
What we need from you:
Skills/Abilities
Solid understanding of accounting principles and finance fundamentals, including US and French GAAPs
Advanced level of broad analytical skills
Problem solving and decision-making skills
Pro-active and able to work effectively within a multi-functional and cross-cultural team
Project management skills
Communication skills – demonstrate good presentation skills. Is proactive in building positive relationships among team members and other functions
Self-motivated, positive attitude and a team player
Education/Experience
Bachelor or master’s degree in finance/accountancy or equivalent
At least 4 years of previous experience, ideally in an international organization or in an audit firm
Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
SAP would be a plus
Fluent in English and French.
