Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Marketing France, the role will be responsible for developing and delivering a number of marketing initiatives for professional fund buyers, institutions, financial advisers and end investors. This will include strategic and tactical marketing campaigns to help drive sales into growth areas and/or to maintain/ defend AXA IM’s market position. The role will therefore be responsible for driving activities across all channels, including email marketing, advertising, direct mail, web and social media, events… Also given the nature of the role, a high level of interactions and close teamwork will be required, in particular with business partners, investment platforms, global marketing and corporate communications teams.

Key Accountabilities

Working in partnership with the Head of Marketing France, develop and build marketing plans for specific client segments (mainly Retail and Wholesale) across the full range of marketing disciplines. Activities may include strategic and tactical campaigns (products, thematic, brand or education), advertising, e-mail communications, events both third party and proprietary, web and social media, media partnerships with editorial responsibilities. Use knowledge of clients and French market to make proactive recommendations for which channels to use or which initiatives to undertake. Take responsibility for delivering marketing campaigns from contributing to developing messages, objectives, customer journey, to ensuring distribution across all communication channels and measuring the success. Build a local paid media plan strategy for strategic and tactical campaigns, in coordination with Head of Marketing France, Corporate Communications team and external stakeholders (media and agencies). This includes regular meetings with French media, both partners and prospects. Take responsibility for content production in coordination with the Local Content Specialist. This includes ensuring that the content of our campaigns complies with corporate standards, that it effectively communicates ‘cut through’ messaging and meets project deadlines/specifications. Undertake the translation / compliance approval process and implement distribution strategy for a number of pan global communications developed by the Global Marketing and Content Teams and other departments as relevant and in line with business needs. Such communications include product content, campaign-related content, fund anniversaries, new fund launches, etc. Contribute to the planning and delivery of events (proprietary events, industry events where AXA IM is a sponsor) and analyse and deliver event metrics as well as follow up communications in conjunction with the Event Manager and Head of Marketing for France Work closely with the global product marketing team and strategic campaigns team, sharing ideas and leveraging from each other in terms of content, messaging, creative positioning and delivery. Develop a deep knowledge of asset management products, client segments, regulatory and industry trends as well as distribution channels Play an active role in team meetings and the broader global marketing community, collaborating with colleagues in other divisions and across regions and sharing best practices. Maintain and develop strong relationships with the sales team, portfolio managers, product specialists, operations, corporate communications, compliance and other business functions as appropriate Plan, manage and report on budget for activities the person is responsible for

Qualifications

Role Requirements

Relevant degree and at least 5 years’ experience in marketing and communications in the financial services sector, preferably with experience of the asset management/securities sector Fluent in French and English Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills Strong verbal and written communicating skills Strong negotiation and influencing skills Strong project management skills, including an ability to move projects forward in a complex environment. Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects at once Strong interest in investment matters Good creative skills Be a proactive, dynamic and highly client-focused self-starter Able to work independently, but also to work effectively in a team – someone who is collaborative, flexible and adaptable, reliable with a strong ‘can do attitude’ Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build easy relationships with different teams (investment teams, product managers and other business partners) as well as able to capture ideas and extract relevant and timely information, and present ideas / plan in a confident manner
