Description of assignment

Assist with the strategic planning of the Lifecycle fund as well as to undertake and manage quoted works, contract variation works and lifecycle projects from developing the brief through to completion and handover. Assist and stand in for the Operations Manager when required for the management of all operational staff, budgets and performance of facilities management services within the contract, maintaining a close liaison with the Client FM function, ensuring day to day requirements of delivering the FM contract are met. Manage work through the use of the Maximo CAFM system including reporting, monitoring, quoted works, purchasing and invoicing. Exercise financial and commercial control in the management of expenditure and income within agreed budgets. Identify and develop opportunities across the contract to enhance business and revenue growth. Effectively manage business dealings with suppliers and sub-contractors in order to develop and maintain a relationship that promotes service excellence and best value. Develop, implement and maintain a project monitoring system, and be accountable for the monthly performance of projects when measured against it. Actively promote the development of professional codes of practice in line with organizational and local business needs. Ensure all of the required company, legislative requirements and statutory compliance are met, including Health & Safety. Working hours are 8.00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (evening and weekend work will also be required)

Profile

Experience of managing and developing people (appraisals, training, recruitment, team briefings, etc) Sound IT skills including Maximo, or similar CMMS Proven track record of maintenance/hard services within Facilities Management Able to work independently and in a proactive manner, with the ability to manage own time to ensure activities are completed within agreed time frames Strongly client-focused, able to take ownership of projects/issues and resolve A proactive, flexible, can-do approach with good communication skills
