Danfoss engineers technologies that enable the world of tomorrow to do more with less. We meet the growing need for infrastructure, food supply, energy efficiency and climate-friendly solutions. Our products and services are used in areas such as refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, motor control and mobile machinery. We are also active in the field of renewable energy as well as district heating infrastructure for cities and urban communities. Our innovative engineering dates back to 1933 and today Danfoss is a world-leader, employing more than 25,000 employees and serving customers in more than 100 countries. We are still privately held by the founding family. In 2017, net sales increased by more than DKK 4bn (more than EUR 550m) to reach DKK 43.3bn (EUR 5.8bn), corresponding to 12% growth in local currency. Combined, the high growth and continuous operational improvements lifted the operating profit excluding other operating income and expenses with more than DKK 700m (EUR 95m) to DKK 5.1bn (EUR 685m). Net profit improved by 13% to DKK 3.3bn (EUR 445m). The cash flow continued to be strong on level with last year.
